Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of Ivorian winger Eric Gbetta on a free transfer.
The 22-year-old has signed a two-year contract that will keep him at the Porcupine Warriors until 2028.
Gbetta joins Kotoko after his last spell with Omani club Al Wadah SC and becomes the fifth signing under head coach Eric Tinkler.
The rapid winger is expected to add pace and attacking options to Kotoko’s squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Gbetta has also expressed his excitement about joining the Ghanaian giants, saying he is familiar with the club’s reputation in Ivory Coast.
“Asante Kotoko is a name that most people in the Ivory Coast know. Although I have not watched them play before, I have been told remarkable stories about their past competition with Asec Mimosas and other strong African teams.”
He added: “I am therefore very excited to play for Kotoko. Ghana and Ivory Coast are like a brother and sister, so I do not think that I will struggle to adapt to the league.”
