Ghana midfielder Kwasi Sibo appears to fire back at his critics for questioning his decision to leave Europe and move to Libya to continue his career.
Sibo was confirmed the newest arrival of Libyan champions Al-Swehly after rejecting moves to France and Turkey for a mouthwatering deal in North Africa. He joined the club as a free agent on a three-year contract, with an option for a further year. The deal is reportedly worth in the region of $10 million, with the football earning most from signing-on fee.
Meanwhile, the decision has been met with huge criticisms from Black Stars fans, who claim he should still be in Europe as the ripe age of 28.
But the defensively midfielder responded in a subtle way in his latest post on social media, stating: "Don't let anyone who has not been in your shoes tell you how to tie your lace."
Also in the post, he added several photos with a short message saying Alhamdulilah for everything.
The former Real Oviedo player is expected to travel to Libya next week to join his new teammates for preparations ahead of the new season.
Sibo becomes one of the high-profile players to be making a move to Libya, joining DR Congo's Fiston Mayele, who also played at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
