Emmanuel Mamah relishes dream Asante Kotoko move

Attacker Emmanuel Mamah is thrilled to have completed his move to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko following his unveiling by the club on Thursday.

The 21-year-old forward has joined the Porcupine Warriors on a permanent deal after ending his spell with fellow Ghana Premier League side Samartex following the expiration of his contract at the end of last season.

Mamah, who last featured for the Timber Giants, is regarded as one of the most versatile forwards in the domestic top flight, capable of operating in several attacking positions.

The youngster enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, scoring seven goals in 20 appearances for Samartex and further establishing himself as one of the promising attacking talents in the league.

His move to Kotoko also means he brings valuable Ghana Premier League experience, having competed in the domestic top flight for the past three seasons.

Speaking after completing his move, Mamah described the opportunity to wear the famous Kotoko jersey as a dream come true and vowed to work hard to deliver goals for the club.

“This is a dream come true and I am grateful to the board and coaches for giving me this opportunity to wear the jersey of this historic club. I will put in the hard work to get the goals for the club,” he said.

Mamah primarily operates through the centre of attack but can also play from the left wing, with his versatility expected to give head coach additional options in the final third.

The attacker will wear the number 18 shirt for the 2026/27 season as he begins a new chapter of his career at one of Ghana’s most successful clubs.

With his experience, versatility and eye for goal, the highly-rated forward is expected to play an important role for Kotoko as the club seeks to challenge for major honours in the upcoming campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors have been active in the transfer market after a disappointing campaign last season, strengthening their squad as they look to return to the top of Ghanaian football.

Mamah has now become the latest addition to the Kumasi-based outfit, with the club hoping his goals and attacking versatility can help them achieve their ambitions in the new season.
