SV Wehen Wiesbaden have added German-Ghanaian winger Roberto Massimo on a one-year loan from Polish side Gornik Zabrze.
The 25-year-old arrives with valuable experience from the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga and international football, giving SVWW another versatile option in attack.
Massimo began his senior career at Arminia Bielefeld before moving to VfB Stuttgart in 2019. He later collected Bundesliga appearances for Stuttgart, spent time on loan in Portugal with Academico Viseu, and then joined Greuther Furth, where he contributed goals and assists in the second division. His most recent spell in Poland included league matches, a cup triumph and qualification for Champions League play-offs.
SVWW sporting director Uwe Stöver welcomed the move, highlighting Massimo’s pace, dynamism and flexibility. He said those qualities fit the club’s style and can add new solutions in the final third.
Massimo also sounded eager for the challenge. He said the talks with the club and coach left him with a strong feeling, and he wants to integrate quickly, play regularly and help with goals and assists.
The winger, who will wear number 22, now has a chance to reset his career in Wiesbaden and use his experience to make an immediate impact.
