Ghana midfielder Augustine Boakye made his return to action for Saint-Etienne, featuring in the club's pre-season friendly victory over Italian side Venezia.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder played 45 minutes and provided an assist, showing his quality and creativity in the final third.
Boakye, who was part of Ghana's 2026 World Cup squad, looked sharp as he continues his build-up to the new season.
He was included in Ghana's World Cup squad after an impressive season for Saint-Etienne, in which he scored 5 goals and provided 7 assists in 22 appearances. His performances in the French second division helped the club secure promotion back to Ligue 1.
Despite not getting the opportunity for the former African champions, the attacking midfielder remained positive and continues to patiently wait for his time with the Black Stars.
Boakye will be looking to build on his pre-season form as Saint-Etienne prepare for their return to the French top flight.
