Semper Fi continued their strong finish to the Access Bank Division One League season with a fourth consecutive victory after defeating Okwawu United 1-0 on Saturday.
Samuel Adonteng Owusu scored the decisive goal in the 62nd minute at the Teshie McDan Astro Turf as Semper Fi secured all three points in a tightly contested encounter.
The victory confirmed second place for Semper Fi, capping an impressive campaign despite narrowly missing out on promotion.
Semper Fi have emerged as one of the league’s most consistent sides in the closing stages of the season, and their latest result extended an excellent run of form.
Their defensive organisation once again proved crucial as they held firm after taking the lead to secure another important victory.
Okwawu United, meanwhile, remain locked in the relegation battle and continue to fight for survival heading into the final round of matches.
Semper Fi will now conclude their season with a home fixture against WAFA as they look to finish the campaign on another positive note.
