A young goalkeeper’s dream has come true as King Agbozo of Nkawkaw Salvation Army Primary School, who recently emerged champion at the U-13 MILO Championship in the Western Region, has finally met his football idol.
The talented shot-stopper had the rare opportunity to come face to face with Black Stars and Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Asare, who is currently on national duty with the Black Galaxies, welcomed the young lad with warmth and presented him with an official Hearts of Oak jersey as a keepsake.
Agbozo’s impressive performances at the youth championship have not gone unnoticed. Reports suggest that Hearts of Oak are considering signing the promising youngster for their junior team as part of a long-term plan to develop him into a future star.
For the young goalkeeper, the meeting was more than just a photo opportunity â it was the realisation of a dream and a glimpse of what dedication at a young age can lead to.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Asare is preparing ahead of the 2026 World Cup where he is expected to make his debut against Panama in Ghana's first game.
