SWAG consoles Asamoah Gyan

Accra, Nov. 12, GNA - The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has consoled the captain of the Senior National team, the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan, on the tragic death of his mother, Mrs Cecilia Gyan.   A statement issued by the association, described Mrs Gyan’s passing as a heartbreaking event that was least expected and hoped  the family would find the fortitude  to cope with it.   The SWAG said it has noted with great admiration the composure of Asamoah Gyan in particular in the face of the heartbreaking news and expressed the hope that they would get over the trauma associated with it.   ‘’At this moment the whole country is with the family in prayers and will stand by them to see Mrs Gyan off in a befitting manner.   "In the case of Asamoah Gyan in particular, we pray that he comes through this quickly so that he can join his colleagues as they embark on the search for Ghana’s first Nations Cup triumph in 31 years in South Africa next January’’.
