Work on Juaso Accident and Emergency Unit project to begin

Juaso (Ash), Nov. 9, GNA - A ceremony to mark the official start of construction work of an Accident and Emergency Unit at the Juaso District Hospital, was performed on Thursday.        The GH¢200,000.00 project would be funded through voluntary cash donations and fund-raising activities to be organised by the hospital.        Mr. Danso Yeboah, Asante-Akim South District Director of Health Services, said the completion of the project would significantly help the facility to provide efficient care to accident victims.       He said that giving the hospital’s strategic location on the Kumasi-Accra Highway, particularly at the Konongo-Nkawkaw stretch of the road, it serves as the first point of call for accident victims.     Mr. Danso Yeboah said it was important to have a well-equip Accident and Emergency unit to handle emergency cases.      He commended Odeneho Kwaku Kyeremateng, Chief Executive Officer of Comet Property, a Real Estate Development Company, for his donating cash, cement, roofing sheets and technical expertise towards the project.     Mr. Tom Ababio, Chairman of the Hospital’s Board, said prudent measures would be taken to ensure the early completion of the project.       GNA ...
