SEGUM Team Joins Hohoe SDA Camp Meeting

Leaders of the South East Ghana Union Mission (SEGUM) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA), last week joined the Volta Ghana Mission’s Hohoe Zone for the 2026 Annual Camp Meeting, aimed at strengthening fellowship among members.

The host pastors for the annual camp meeting 2026 included Pastor Eric Amesimeku, District Pastor and Zone Leader, Hohoe West; Pastor Felix Kojo Asante, District Pastor, Kpando and Pastor Alex Kwabena Appiah, District Pastor, Hohoe East.

Apart from the delegation from the South East Ghana Union Mission, led by the Chief Finance Officer, Dr. Isaac Owusu Dankwa, Communications Director, Pastor Dr. Samuel Dorgbetor, and the Director of Education for the South East Ghana Union Mission, Madam Comfort Owusu Dankwa among others who visited the Hohoe zone, the programme also brought together more than 500 members of the church from the zone and other parts of the country.

The President of the Volta Ghana Mission, Pastor Paul Mawutor, expressed gratitude to God for the successful organisation of the camp meeting, describing it as an important period for members to renew their faith and commitment towards the work of God.

He said the leadership of the church also used the occasion to encourage members to uphold Christian virtues, share the word of God with others, and seek God’s guidance in their daily lives.

District Pastor for Hohoe East, who doubled as the Zonal Facilitator and organiser for the camp meeting, Pastor Eric Amesimeku, said the programme attracted participants from different parts of the region, with some travelling over 65 kilometres to the area.

He expressed appreciation to God and disclosed that the programme would go a long way to strengthen members for greater service.

Pastor Felix Kojo Asante, District Pastor for Kpando, who shared his experience, said the camp meeting had been a source of encouragement and spiritual revival for his members, stating that the presence of leaders from the South East Ghana Union Mission and other leaders of the church inspired them to remain steadfast to the mission.

“Coming here, I have seen a lot and appreciated a lot. Our leaders coming to join us has given us more morale and encouragement. I believe my members have been inspired and revived,” he added.

Leaders at the meeting also urged members to remain faithful to the scriptures while actively contributing to the mission of the church.
